A #FeedTheChildren thread.
When I was a kid, I was in a low income, single-parent family. We weren't eligible for free school meals because my mum worked 'too many hours' (working 3 jobs to support me and my sister).

If we were struggling, god knows what life is like for the families actually eligible for FSM. God knows what it's like being told support is going away in the February half term. My heart is breaking.
It's also crucial to mention that people eligible for FSM are also living in digital poverty. My friend is a support worker in a college, and she's not seen any child who was referred for free equipment actually get any since the scheme opened in March. #FeedTheChildren
There are kids unable to access education. Right now. In our country.
The teachers and workers could go and print things off and post them, but they go through the work so quickly that it's expensive and not sustainable. #FeedTheChildren

I'm about to write an email to my MP, and I'd strongly advise you do the same.
