So this Christmas into new year I was in a Bob mood and I was wondering what project to take on in my brothers house since I was staying there for vacation. I decided on the kitchen cos I hated being in that space... (like naah it was vexing me. Who paints a kitchen pink???)2/10
The challenge to me was to do it with as little money as possible without compromising quality
First thing for me was changing the color of the kitchen. I got my painter to paint it at a cost of 150gh comprising paint and workmanship. (It’s a small kitchen in my opinion)3/10

Next thing for me was maximizing the space. So I decided on a store away approach. From the kitchens I’m used to, everything goes into the pantry but this house has no pantry so I had to get a counter made with cabinets and shelves.4/10
The carpenter made an 8feet countertop carbinet for me( that’s how I describe it). All materials were bought by the carpenter and made at a cost of 1500gh and his workmanship was 200gh.( the 1500 includes transport)

The carpenter fixed cabinet doors for all the spaces underneath the sink. Also the old cabinet in the kitchen was polished( sincerely I just didn’t want to take it out). 6/10
Also I had plans of changing the sink but Akuffo Addo asked me to go back to school and I really didn’t want to deal with a plumber yet. 7/10
So I got a wall fan bought and installed, and that cost me 200gh. China mall, orca decor and melcom are my go to shops for all kitchen things and they did me good... especially those microwave bowls. 8/10
I tend to not argue over prices as much with people who come to work for me because somewhere ingrained in my mind, I really can’t see how much profit they can make of ripping me off and I somewhat believe they tend to work well when you “work” with them. 9/10
