The weekly "National Influenza and COVID-19 surveillance report" has been released by PHE.

Registration delays over the Christmas period have now been corrected for in the chart showing "Daily excess all-cause mortality".

Sadly the excess will only get worse throughout January.
The latest day is approaching 7 standard deviations from the baseline - 6.8 to be precise. I've added a 7 day centred moving average for clarity, although it obviously stops 3 days before the end.
