Just to be clear for anyone reading my tweets over these last months:

I’m very critical of public figures here. I swear. A lot. Like an art form. I also poke fun -comedy helps put outrageous things in digestible context. 1/

I would NEVER approach a public figure in person and verbally assault or intimidate them. In an airport, restaurant, theater, chanting with bullhorns outside their private residences, etc. 2/

If we expect to return our nation to decency we must not tolerate personal assaults on anyone who, no matter how much we disagree with them, have chosen to serve publicly. There are plenty of opportunities to make our concerns known without becoming a 1 person angry mob. 3/

I would equally condemn the MAGAs screaming at Sen Romney and the protesters frightening the wife of Sen Hawley. I like and respect Romney and Hawley decidedly not at all. January 6 should warn each of us that we must be careful about what our anger might allow us to become. End
