On CI story monitoring:
Most IT MSP do Network Monitoring. So how does AV expect that their devices will not just be another device on the network for clients who already embraced their more trusted IT provider to just add it. AV must to so however as part of their Service C
#AVintheAM- am I the only one who read the lastest CI shaking their head. Editor Note: my take - YES integrators should know what to expect, and the fact they do not is a bad thing - not good thing !! I would title the cover WAKE UP, the transition time is passing you by.
The AV nation must be more than ""Integrators" today, they must retrain sales how to sell managed services (as reseller) from others, and find a relationship path to how and why it touches the work they do or have done.( http://i.e.Security , Business Intelligence, AI helpdesk
SD-WAN, SASE, to name just a few) Per survey: 57%+age 51-71, a whopping 66% expect flat profits or losses, 54.3% know that decision maker is IT Director, or Consultant, worse yet, 71.2%say their IT readiness is NOT READY. Sales trend, 61% Edu. 52%bars Restaurant No margin there!
Under new technology, 5 out of the 8 listed are old trends, should already be offering them. There is NOTHING, in this "State of the Industry" report that should do nothing more than WAKE THE AV INDUSTRY UP. There are so many new platforms to learn.
I read #AVintheMorning and try to offer my humble advice and 38 years of experience in AV/IT - IT/AV but little change I see. The fact the editor days the state of the business = "No idea 2921 will bring is a good thing" ..they should just start something new. Your already dead
2021 sorry for typo
