I have a newsletter but it's free and only monthly, and I have no plans to monetize. I respect writers working Patreon/Substack/etc for $ but I don't think that's for me.

When it comes to writing projects, I think of what gives me the most energy. For me, that's writing novels. Draft after draft for months on end. That energizes me. Maintaining a weekly newsletter would drain me, tbh.

I write freelance stuff here and there, which I enjoy, but those are one and done. The writing grind I'm best suited for is the novel long-haul.

Worth pointing out that I'm able to do this bc I'm the househusband & my wife is the breadwinner. It's ideal tbh.
