Building in public equals learning in public.
Drafting tweets, writing articles or setting up funnels to build my business all contribute to the bigger picture: to become a better creator.
My online audience grew exponential, so did my confidence.
I'm in for the long run.

1/ Building in public elevated my life
In 2020, my goal was to publish 3 articles
Scared as hell, but I pressed publish and my first article was live. I would annihilate that target by publishing 70 articles in 4 months.
Writing took over my life and changed it for the better.

1/ Get practical
Your personal brand is everything - they can never take it away from you.
Practice as creators' mindset and you never run out of opportunity
Money is everywhere - you just have to know where to look.

2/ It forces me to become better, more knowledgable
Learning in the open creates external accountability that I can't create myself
Some days, it helps me to bring my A-game.
I can't come up with the same BS every day.
Having an audience comes with a level of responsibility.

Creating Twitter-threads forced me to step up my game
Take a broad subject and compiling that in tweets of 280 characters max. is a whole new playfield:
It requires me to write concise and clear.
Keep the reader engaged https://twitter.com/jessievbreugel/status/1346524213599985666?s=20

3/ It brings in network & business opportunities
Putting myself out there is my inbound marketing. I'm not really an acquisition kinda guy, but I know I'm good at building relationships 1-on-1.
Creating content and sharing acts as a magnet to attract like-minded people.

I found out that Twitter is not only a great way of stress-testing ideas to write about, but also a great way to connect with fellow creators and entrepreneurs.
I'm even asked to come up for my first podcast performance w/ @CarlsContent

4/ Inspires others to take the leap of faith
Walk the walk - easier said than done
I like to jump off the cliff and see where I'll end up
I know not everyone is the same
What better way to make someone else aware of his own greatness, is to show it?
Show them it's possible

You never know how your work can inspire others.
A couple of weeks ago, I shared one of my articles on Twitter, and my friend @mkhundmiri was actually inspired to launch this first eBook. How cool is that? https://twitter.com/mkhundmiri/status/1344274150098051072?s=20

5/ Make them part of the story
Make people part of the process, instead of only showing the end result
This way, they’re not only part of a success story, but also the learning curve and the inevitable mistakes along the way
People will feel ownership and involved in your work

When I'm stuck with an article, I repackage it to a thread and validate the strength of the idea. I ask others to add their thoughts and if they're missing something important.
The result? More input and validation from the audience. https://twitter.com/jessievbreugel/status/1348668789076987904?s=20
