It's been a pleasure to be the President of @IOSA_chapter the @OpticalSociety Student Chapter in Madrid @IO_CSIC last year.
I had several ideas that couldn't happen due to the pandemic, but that didn't stop us form doing many great activitiesđŸ€©

For the 11th of February, #womenInScienceDay

- We updated our poster about important women scientists from @IO_CSIC
- @clarabenedi8 and @mpilarurizar did worshops in the school Pintor Rosales with 5yo kids
- @clarabenedi8 gave a talk in the event organized by @sedopticamof

Later, in the course 'MicroscopĂ­a y Aplicaciones' taken place in @IO_CSIC, two members of the group (Carlos and me), described how to build (and actually built) different versions of homemade microscopes

At the end of February, @saelaiss, @LupeVillegasL, Ana and Rocio went to the cultural center of Torres de la Alameda, @saelaiss home-town, and performed several optics workshops with kids of 4 to 12 years old

The last in-person activity we had was part of the program 'Ciencia en el Barrio' in the IES Ciudad de Jaen, to bring science closer to young students at risk of social exclusion.
@CarmenMLago1 and me participated in this fantastic activity with 14 years old students

Few days after this activity, the lockdown begun in Spain and, unfortunately, all the activities that were planned had to be cancelled.

We launched our first Escape Room online, with videos of different experiments to be done at home!! as part of the #WeekOfScience

In overall, even though we could not do our regular activity, I'm very proud of what we have doneđŸ€©đŸ‘
