On the horizontal axis, we can see each team's shooting percentage (5v5). On the vertical, team save percentage. Teams can enjoy (or suffer) results far from average for a while. But, over time, teams usually drift back towards the average lines.

Here, we can look at the average quality of shots taken and allowed, regardless of the total number of shots for/against.
MTL tends to be good at getting lots of shots while staying high-quality too.
COL had a tendency to do this low-quality shot thing too.
