The exterior of our new extension will be adorned with beautiful terracotta tiles by @darwenterra, a local company of exceptionally skilled craftspeople with a prestigious heritage. A thread👇
Darwen Terracotta and Faience was set up by former employees when Shaws of Darwen closed their architectural division. By re-employing skilled craftspeople, @darwenterra have saved a hundred years of skills and are actively working to pass these skills on to the next generation.
@darwenterra are based in Lancashire. We are proud to be working with local people, using natural materials, with an international reputation for working with heritage, restoration, new build & artistic projects including @Alan_Measles' #AHouseForEssex

This week at the heart of our city, the remains of the Mayfield Baths have been discovered complete with ornate Victorian tiles!
