/15) @realkatiejow @Trustee_Brooks @ClarkCountySch @SuptJaraCCSD @cceanv
There are just a couple of other issues I have with your statement. The one that immediately jumps out at me is that you are using CCSD official resources [letter head] to issue a public statement about a https://twitter.com/realkatiejow/status/1349549225646850050

/15) private matter that appears to have occurred on a social media platform that you, yourself, stated began ten months ago. Based on your words in your statement, it is unclear if the two people you have named authored the articles of your concern, or merely retweeted them.
/15) You have failed to connect the "attempted defamation" to any board decision(s) you have been a party too in an official capacity. In Fact, your claim seems to be centered around your own political activity. Since a @ClarkCountySch trustee is a nonpartisan elected position,
/15) your political affiliation and statements in those regards would be totally inappropriate while using your authority as a trustee. Using the aforementioned stationary would imply that district legal counsel has, at a minimum, reviewed your statement, given the green light
/15) for posting on your personal Twitter page, are in agreement with your claim(s), and prepared to provide financial backing using county resources. That seems unlikely. This would be wildly out of character for the Clark County School District legal team. However,
/15) if @ClarkCountySch is prepared to provide you with financial resources from its well-publicized tight budget in order to pursue your claim of "attempted defamation", shouldn't that decision be an open agenda item and subject to public comment during the
/15) upcoming Board Meeting? You also mention that you will resist attempts by others to make you the victim of cyber bullying in order to affect your resignation as school board trustee. With your 'official' statement, are you not, in turn, using your position in its official
/15) capacity to make veiled threats to those you feel have harmed you? Ms. Williams, I am sure you are aware that each social media platform has numerous methods to report or defend yourself from perceived bullies or even true threats of harm. The most effective is to
/15 deactivate your account altogether. On Twitter, you may mute or block other users so you don't see tweets as often or see them at all. If you believe you are the subject of targeted harassment, Twitter has a very effective reporting tool to report the offending account
/15) for possible temporary suspension or permanent ban. But you know these things, because you have closely aligned yourself with many people who have recently been permanently banned from this platform. You are not a victim, Ms. Williams. You are a whiner.
/15) There is a name for women like you on social media who believe they have greater privilege because they are white. They are called 'Karens'. I feel certain you have read that term. That is you, Ms. Williams. You are a 'Karen'. You grew up in an all white neighborhood,
/15) graduated from a small all white school in the mid-west, and you believe that your whiteness also gives you privilege and that you should be above reproach. Welcome to the real world. It boggles the mind why you would leave the comfort of your white communities, and move
/15) to the very diverse city of Las Vegas, where public schools, more often than not, have a highly mixed cultural student population in excess of 3,000 in high schools. You exude the arrogance of that white privilege by even thinking you are the least bit qualified to hold
/15) the position you were elected for. The disdain you have for our students, teachers, and staff and our way of life bleeds from every pore of your skin. One final thought; if you include a link in a statement, you must unlock the tweet in order to unlock the links inside.
/15) Change comes from W/I. Until you are able to feel empathy, you won't receive it. I suggest u work on your interpersonal skills & look in the mirror, or u are going to have a much harder life going forward. Perceived bullies on Twitter will be the least of your problems END
Ms. Williams a @ClarkCountySch trustee appears to be using her grievance to raise campaign funds.
