George W. Bush remains the worst President of the 21st Century, it's not even close.

Genuinely there is absolutely no debate between Trump or Bush being worse. Trump, for all the shit he's done, hasn't started any new wars and hasn't killed a million people. That, alone, rules Trump out from being anywhere near worse than Bush.

Whether Obama or Trump is worse is a genuine debate. Obama toppled Libya and through those actions effectively restored chattel slavery in Libya as well as created a global drone assassination program, but Trump has increased the usage of those drones by like 300%.

Trump did also try to coup Venezuela and of course assassinated Soleimani (both terrible) but didn't actually start a war with Iran or Venezuela.

On deportations its not close. Deportations under Trump actually reached a ten year LOW compared with Obama. They did go up after 2017 but they never reached Obama's levels.

Obama did put kids in cages but it was not as part of an explicit family separation policy as it was under Trump so that is worse without a doubt.

Obama made the Bush tax cuts permanent and oversaw one of the slowest and most unequal economic recoveries in US history...

... And with regards to the economy, Trump has just governed like a bog standard neoliberal with some protectionist tendencies.

Ultimately though they're all war criminals and all belong in the Hague. Both Obama and Trump have no competition with Bush.

People who are arguing Trump was worse are either:

1) Prioritising American lives and stability over Iraqi lives

2) Not grasping the numerous atrocities of what happened during the Iraq War

I am discovering that saying that the polite and civil Republican that tortured civilians was worse than the impolite and brash Republican that wasn't as hawkish is an excellent way of purging liberals

Some need to understand American lives do not matter more than Iraqi lives.
