It is harder to contemplate the fact that patriarchy has made women so ashamed of being female that many of us choose to pretend that our body is irrelevant while harmful patriarchal gender impositions are what makes us human.
It is flattering to pretend women are privileged over men who want to be us. Understanding that their "need" to violate our boundaries is driven by a sexual fetish in which we are mere props and disembodied costumes is frightening.
