here’s a fun fact. when u gently blow on a little bird’s belly u can see all their internal organs bc their skin is translucent under those feathers. u make sure there are no parasites under there and then give them a gentle pat on the head and set them free. it’s delightful.

i got to do this at a bird tagging station in a nature preserve. the little birbs were wonderful. i also got to hold a salamander and some bullfrog tadpoles which are very large and funny
