Understand your motive.

Don’t go into a pursuit without knowing your motive.

It can be anything.

But when you hit a difficult moment, you need to know why you’re doing it.
The 3 valid reasons for not attempting to become rich:

1. You do not wish to be rich
2. You would like to be rich but have other priorities
3. You are too stupid to make the attempt
Most reasons you don’t pursue your goals are not reasons at all.

They are excuses.
You need to absolutely committed to succeed.

You can’t want to.
You can’t need to.
You can’t deserve to.

You have to be determined, no matter the cost.
Ask yourself two questions

To what degree are you prepared to dedicate yourself to the task?

How many times are you willing to fail, perhaps publicly and humiliatingly, before you succeed?
You must cut loose from those holding you back.
Young? Broke? Inexperienced?

Great!

You have nothing to lose.
Act differently to achieve different results.
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it - boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.

- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
A committee is a

- group of the unwilling
- chosen from the unfit
- to do the unnecessary
Anyone determined to create wealth from a standing start must make a pact with themselves to abandon the fear of failure.
Having a great idea isn’t the problem.

The problem is executing on that idea.
If you never have a single great idea in your life, but become skilled in executing the great ideas of others, you can succeed beyond your wildest dreams.
To be rich, be an owner.
There is only one boss.

The customer.

And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.

- Sam Walton
Only one thing can be lost and never reclaimed.

Time.
Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

- Seneca
Self-belief.

With it, nothing is impossible.
