The ashes were still falling.

I did awful things as a young teen. One of them included lighting a match and setting The Meadowlands on fire. My Dad's reaction when he found out I caused the fire...4 words. Do you feel guilty? I did, I still do.

The ashes were still falling.
I was reminded of this today because of the Republicans in Congress. I was 13 when I behaved this way and it still stays with me. The 10 Congressmen and Congresswomen who voted for Impeachment voted against the insurrection. They were proud of their vote. They were right.
The rest were scared. They had a match. Their friends egged them on or they were afraid of what their friends would say if they didn't stick with them.

The ashes are still falling.
