Ya know, 4 years ago I was horrified by the election of Donald Trump. I was pissed off and angry.
So I grabbed my pink pussy hat and took to the streets. It was much larger than the angry Insurrection mob. It encompassed hundreds of cities in every state.

Instead of storming the Capitol. We fucking organized. It started with Resist Trump Tuesdays at our Senators office.
Then we organized the March for Truth.
We organized to protest the family separations.
We organized around candidates that we supported. 2/

The Resistance was in every state, blue and red. We knocked doors, we called our reps en mass, we did dozens of protests, from signs over the freeway, to die in's at Senate offices. 3/
And one year ago, we called for the impeachment of Donald Trump.
We have known for 5 years what he is. We knew then. Our worst fears have been confirmed.
This was true last year, this is even more true today.

Then came the killings of Ahmed Aubrey, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor & many more.
That was not a moment, but a movement.
We were met with tear gas, rubber bullets, lines of National Guard.
We were called rioters, Antifa, agitators. 5/

The GOP were silent when Trump did a photo op.
They blocked bills meant for police accountability.
There were no calls for unity. Instead they attacked & ignored the pain of those marginalized.
They called us terrorists for mooing at a congressman. 6/

Now the GOP calls for unity. Ignoring their culpability, their lies.
They say you can't IMPEACH Trump with 7 days left.
But they could seat a lifetime SCOTUS judge with 8 days before an election. 7/

And once again, we will take the next 4 years to organize. But we will not attempt insurrection.
Instead, we will work night and day to see that every member of the republican party that was complicit is punished: by the courts or by the voters.
