Dear @itzbasito
Good morning, I am a fan of Laycon and I read your opinion about the young man who is making waves at the moment in the Nigerian entertainment and music industry.

I must say I was quite disappointed at what I read, mainly because your opinion which I would not
Call an analysis is a huge contrast to what is stated on your bio as what you do. As a music brand promoter, content creator and PR i expected a more detailed and intellectual analysis that shows you are a professional in the field thus stated.
We all know who Laycon is so there is no need for any further introduction. What I would like to bring to your attention however since you forgot is that he has stated clearly in every single interview that he went into the reality show to promote is music. The question or
What we should ask ourselves is did he actually succeed in promoting that music? As music brand promoter and PR as you claimed in your bio I believe you should be more of facts and statistical analysis. So the question is how many streams did he have on all platforms before
He entered into the house? As PR person I believe you know the importance of social media platforms and its influence on artiste especially. So the next question is, what was his social media strength/influence(in 5months)
Lets compare his stream and social media influence before and after...
Before he went into the house according to him he had less than 150k streams when he came out he had 7M streams as stated by him, by the end of 2020 he clocked 20M streams on all platforms.
His insta. had 3k followers when he went into the house, he left the house with over a million. Now he has 2.8M followers still growing. His twitter account had about 3k before he went in the show, today he has 867k followers on twitter and counting. 6th most talked about in 2020
His first work after the BBN show Nobody icons remix has 1.8M views , topped the chart for several weeks. He dropped hip hop video , it trended NUMBER 1 on YouTube NG for 2 weeks, and presently at 1.5M views in one month..peep the dates....
He was highest artiste for YouTube Nigeria for 27straight days! He was topping on several musical chat for weeks and he us still on that charts
He his the afro rap cover of deezer music streaming app. He was the cover of tidal for Nigeria fast rising act. MTV base actually did PR for HipHop before its release.
His music has so much influence it was a national anthem at the #EndSARS protest. Fierce ft chinko Ekun and Reminisce was played at different protest locations. Fierce and FEM by davido was the most played songs on the protest grounds nationwide
Many Nigerians and non Nigerians in diaspora listen to his music . Just recently a Nigerian based in USA tweeted about how his music has inspired him so much he has vowed not to give up, interestingly he didnt even know anything about him going to BBN....
Recently he had an interview with a radio station based in Califonia which was also aired in New York. The interview only trended as number 1 on twitter it also peaked at #10 on global interview chart. His music is played in UK tops radio stations
On his interview day the interviewer was so impressed with his poise , talent and intelligence that she played the whole EP after the interview and played fierce twice , cos according to her it was fierce!
As a PR person, a content creator , a music brand promoter , how else would you measure success, impact or influence? Laycon and his iCONs do not claim to have gotten there but we press on forward and very appreciative that Laycon and iCONs got the recognition he needed
Everybody needs a platform to be heard and to be known, and fate leads us to that platform. BBN was the platform fate chose for Laycon and that does not make him less of who he is. What we look forward to is who he becomes and we see that the future is very bright
You as a PR person is using twitter as one of your platforms of reach for your craft but you are not verified on twitter but you hope one day you would cos verification would mean recognition. The absence of that verification does not make you lazy or invalid. It just means you
Need to work harder. It may come and it may not come but then it doesn't take away the fact that you do what you do (as you claim).....

The valid question ter4 is has Laycons music career changed since his BBN sojourn?YES! 💯% ..Will he grow? Yes 💯% Does he have music on d way
Yes!! 💯% on the 31st of December Last year he sang his unreleased songs to his team. If you truly into Music PR then you should know his manager/big brother @temigomez (he needs no introduction)
In two of the biggest deals he got after the show he not only signed as their ambassador. He also sang the jingles for the product. Tell me how often do you get such? Please quote this part of this tweet and let us know...
Lastly Laycon won an international award from USA (AEAUSA) He won in the best new artiste category. This was determined by voting but the nomination was not. It means his craft is truly recognised overseas.
Other African artiste including yemi alade won awards too.
Mr @itzbasito as a PR person,I believe what you fight majorly (which is also part of your job description and duty) is PREJUDICE. Sadly that is what is written all over your tweet. A medical doctor is meant to treat a disease not spread it.
Laycon has nothing to prove....
He will make music, make more music, be better at it and be one of the best rap artiste/artiste from Africa this year. We iCONs eagerly anticipate his album/EP. We advice you to fasten you seat belt and get a bottle of water cos its going to be a rollacoster ride!! ✌📌 💚💡
