I was asked last week what are some non tech skills that can be handy in learning cybersec hacking and I will repeat it here. This is my updated guidance from previous tweets on this topic. Feel free to add your own if you like.

1. Puzzles

Professor Layton games especially.
The man who designed the puzzles is a master and works renowned.

2. Hobby Trains.

Yes, I'm saying this again. The ppl who build them *know* electronics. I've been taught by many.

3. Clockworks

You ever want to see Patience in action? Watch anyone fix a clock. It's unreal.
World-renowned. Tara with the typos!

4. Watch the movie Somm (2012) It's a group of ppl taking the Master Sommelier exam which is one of the hardest exams in the world and makes the OSCP look like child's play.

Why?

Wines are language.
They not only have to know the history of pretty much wine and every wine in the world but the cultures from these regions.

Think you can do it?

Describe "fruity" in more than 10 ways and do it while wearing formal attire, a straight posture and holding the wine.
They have to communicate the story the wine is going to convey through taste.

Hackers have to bridge the gap of the unknown and enter a world they may not be familiar with.

There's only like 170 Master Sommeliers in the world from its inception.

That's how difficult it is.
That's what I got. Being able to learn about a topic you'd never otherwise learn about is what we do, every day.

Being able to observe patterns, behaviors, too.

Anyone can do this if you show up and put in the effort.

Ok, back to Fenyx.

And play games!
