My honest opinion on Arsenal players.
A thread:
Leno is one of the must underrated goalkeepers in Europe. He has arguably been out most consistent player for a while now and because he doesn’t play for Liverpool or Manchester United, no one notices. Very good goalkeeper and happy to have him as our number 1.
This guy wasn’t made for Premier League football. Being scraped out the the bottom half of Ligue 1 and thrown into this team wasn’t good. His positioning and decision making is poor and I think we need to be looking at another number 2.
What Gabriel has come in and done to this defence is incredible. He had like 3 MOTMs and a POTM in his first 2 months of English football. Bare in mind he hardly could speak English. He is fast, spatially aware and strong in the tackle. Exactly what we needed in this team.
Hector suffered a shaky start to the season but I think that boiled down playing behind Willian. Since he has been playing behind Saka he has been a lot more effective. Going forward is his biggest aspect. Defensively he isn’t strong.
Tierney is a top left back. Undoubtedly top 3 itl. He had it all, he has the defensive abilities and the attacking. He can drive down the left and create chances out of no where like we saw against West Brom. Then he can come slot straight back in LB and defend.
On his day Sokratis was a brilliant player and we saw that under Klopp reaching the Champions League final. I just think with his age he isn’t up to standard for the team anymore. His decision making is poor and turns extremely slow. We need to move on from this deadwood.
In my opinion he has been extremely underrated in this team. He had been here for a while and has consistently put a shift in recently. He has defended well and looked strong along side Mari. I do believe there is a future for Rob at this club.
He is just a classic second choice right back. When he plays he puts in a shift and does the best he can for the team. He often misplaces passes and looks shaky but overall he is just average.
Now onto Mustafi. I don’t honestly know how his career has declined so quickly. He was an established World Cup winning centre back and now he is just shite. I always want to cry myself to sleep when I see his play. He is deadwood and needs to be shifted as soon as possible.
I feel bad for Callum. He is constantly in and out of the team and never has a straight run of games. We all know he is a brilliant player, like when he went to Fulham and won their POTY. I just don’t think this club is for Callum and I’d love to see him move on.
Mari had been a silent class performer. Unfortunately for him, he had suffered a nasty injury and was out for a while. Recently he has been brilliant and it’s upsets me as he won’t be able to play alongside Gabriel as they are both left footed. I hope Arteta finds a way.
David suffered an extremely shaky start with Arsenal but recently I feel like he has fitted Mikel’s system well and his player brilliant recently. His performance against Brighton was class and I just think he is a good centre back and nothing more.
My guy Bukayo. There isn’t a thing that this can’t do on the pitch. I’m convinced if you put him in goal he would still do a job. He is top 2 talents itl along side Foden. His speed, agility and end product is amazing for his age and it’s only going to get better.
I am very fond of Dani. He offers a lot when he plays going forward and even in defence he tries to win tackles and regain possession. Long term I don’t see him staying but for now he will do.
Mesut is one of the best creators of the last decade. He was brilliant for us and I will never forgot what he did for the club. It is just a shame how this situation ended but I wish his luck and nothing but success. #YaGunnersYa
Again I feel really bad for Ainsley. When he has played he has been brilliant and I feel that he should be starting ahead of Bellerin at RB. I think he offers a lot more offensively and defensively. I think his link up with Saka on the right could be brilliant.
Parteyyy. What a complete and established player he is. He is so strong in the middle of the park, whether he is player box to box or as a dm. You can rely on him to control the midfield like he did at Old Trafford. He is exactly what we have been needing for a while.
Elneny has one of the best work rates at the club and always gives for the team. I feel like that loan spell at Besiktas really boosted his game. You can always rely on his to put a shift in when he plays.
I don’t really know where to stand on Joe. One day he is terrific and next he is shite. I just don’t think personally he is going to get a sniff now with Emile coming through and the inevitable arrival of another number 10. I think a move would be best for his career.
Emile is going to be an amazing player. From his passing to movement to dribbling to his end product his is amazing. Like Saka he is young and will evolve into something amazing. I love Emile.
In my opinion Xhaka is extremely underrated. Over the Wenger and Emery era he was hated but I think he has found his place unde Mikel. He is brilliant defensively and is good at releasing the ball in the middle and final third. I like Xhaka.
I am so happy for Laca recently. It’s like he is finally finding his form in the CF position. I am so hopeful for the rest of the season and I think we should offer him and extension.
Fuck off
Again fuck off
Auba. One of 5 players to score 25+ every season for the past 5 years. People are slating him as he plays for Arsenal. All strikers go through poor form but I hope all of your apologies is as loud as the disrespect.
I am on the fence about Pepe. I love him to bits but I just feel he has had enough time to adapt now. When he plays he does perform and it shows in his G/A. I feel like he needs a run of games to start and that will hopefully spark something in him.
I love Reiss to bits man. I really want him to succeed but I just don’t think he will have the chance to flourish now with the likes of Saka, Emile and Martinelli all fit. I really hope Mike finds a way as he is a baller.
Gabi is a top talent. He has been called the talent of the century by Klopp and he deserves it. He is incredible for his age at everything he does and deserves all the credit he gets. Hopefully we can get past this injury and see him perform to the ability we all know he can.
