This is the moment we've all been waiting for. There's a vaccine that can end this pandemic. There's nothing more important than getting it to people now, urgently.

Here's what I want from our Dept of Public Health. We are communicating this and I'm 100% ready to support:
- A daily tracker, demonstrating transparently how many vaccines we have, and how many that have been deployed and to which groups.

- A clear timeline, showing when you're likely to get the vaccine based on priority.
- A way for people to sign up to receive the vaccine + more information from the county, immediately and moving forward about vaccine access, including a hotline to call.
- Public commitment to provide mass distribution of the vaccine, incl dozens of sites across the city, including large sites.

- Transparency on doses that have been given to private providers and clear expectations from private providers regarding coordination and info sharing.
- A way for volunteers to sign up to provide support and assistance

These feel like the bare minimum. Many counties already have this. All with the goal of better communication, efficiency & mass rapid delivery of doses as soon as they arrive.

What else do you feel is needed?
There's no reason any vaccine dose should sit. We should be deploying them as soon as we get them. The sites should be staffed and ready, appointments booked. We KNOW we will be received tens of thousands of doses on a rolling basis in coming weeks. Let's be prepared & roll!
Speed is what is most important. That means being READY--staffed sites, w volunteers, people identified, signed up, with appointments. Their insurance status does not matter.

Do not defer to private providers, they of course have a role but the county must do mass distribution.
