Choose the most beautiful male royal child of the past. (See thread for photos)
Otto, Crown Prince of Austria and Hungary, later European Parliament member, and far-right politician, spoke 10 languages and had been a gorgeous child. They said of him that he could’ve given Jackie Coogan, then premier Hollywood child actor, a run for his money.
Another one of Otto von Habsburg. All of four years old at his parent’s coronation, in the middle of a World War, as King and Queen of Hungary! God, he was so cute!
It was actually hard to choose a photo of Tsarevich Alexis. There are SO many of him and all show what a handsome little boy he was.
The future Duke of Windsor shares with the first two male royal poll subject the fact that he was meant to be King, but it was not his fate to be one. He entered the Royal Naval College at Osbourne just aged 12. Our first blond of the bunch.
And though the Duke of Windsor was an exaggeratedly blond child, don’t tell me you don’t see the resemblance between he and Prince George today? I’ve been yelling this since he was born.
Little known Erbprinz Luitpold of Bavaria died before becoming King too. Some say he shared a startling similarity with Tsarevich Alexis, only with the darker Wittelsbachs’ looks.
Here’s another one of young Luitpold of Bavaria, our least known of the bunch. They either kitted him out in silks and princely laces, or as a mini-officer. The kid didn’t stand a chance.
They won’t let me vote in my own poll!! Anyway, you have three hours to do so, so please don’t let me down!
It is notable that Queen Mary herself considered Prince John, her epileptic youngest son, the most beautiful of her children. His clear regular features certainly helped. He was lovely.
