THREAD: I hope we beat Palace tomorrow. But pardon me for being a bit gunshy to think this is an easy win. Almost EVERY TIME we've played this club in recent years, it's been a car crash.

A (completely unnecessary) stroll down memory lane:
10 April 2017 - The Monday Night Massacre. 6th place Arsenal go down 3-0 by the 68th minute, resulting in the normally supportive Away supporters resorting to this nastiness.... (my personal video of the event)
Followed by this.... oh and "captain" Theo Walcott saying after the game "You could tell [Palace] wanted it more from the moment we kicked off."
Okay, so that's a one-off. But wait! 28 Oct 2018, Emery's riding high on a 11-game winning streak. We've got our Arsenal back. Even a typical Mustafi lunging pen is overcome by 2 early 2nd half Arsenal goals. But alas, this, in the final minutes...
Later in the season, we're in 4th, we're gonna get back into Europe, 10-game home winning streak, + this becomes the go-ahead goal, a nifty piece of skill from our beloved #20.
It's hard to play this level of defense, I realize. We lose, drop out of the top 4 & head to Baku.
At least nothing worse can happen. Our next game v. Palace we finally break through. 2 goals from CBs in the first 8 minutes and we're rolling. Except for the capitulation, & our captain slow-walking off the pitch in a 2-2 game & telling fans to F*ck off & ripping off the shirt.
So... here we are again. Riding high, all is good, so much to be optimistic about, and to be clear - I LOVE US right now. But the superstitious part of me is in the fetal position, sucking my thumb, hands over eyes/earns until this game is over with 3 points in the bank. COYG
