This professor is part of a racist warmongering institution itching to justify aggression with China who praises all the students who repeat her talking points back to her in class while gaslighting opposing opinions by "encouraging" dissenters to "see things from another angle"
Yet you can't even count on her to acknowledge that she's sitting on stolen Tongva land, much less sincerely listen to a Chinese student's opinion about their own country
I reviewed the syllabus for that trainwreck of a class: instead of actual Chinese perspectives for "IR 407: Chinese Foreign Policy", we read white China watchers and Chinese minstrels like David Brophy, Yasheng Huang, Minxin Pei, Victor Shih, Louisa Lim, Kenneth Lieberthal
there was a grand total of 2 
authors in 15 weeks of classes on "Chinese foreign policy", both in collab with Western authors about "Crisis Diplomacy" and "Strategic Distrust"

And yet even after stacking the syllabus with white Western perspectives, as nearly every Asia IR class I ever took was, this professor still could not countenance opposing opinions and would even sometimes outright ignore students making opposing points
Now I get to see how she was actually racist all along and how her first reaction to people disagreeing with her is to equate them with evil commiee Yellow hordes come for her valorous truth-seeking colonist self. Racism truly is prevalent in universities sitting on stolen lands.
