I am at a truly wretched end and, with nothing better on the horizon, consulted my cousins to determine:

There are many superb moments in this episode but Frank's botched introduction to a table of beautiful women, after hours of painstaking elocution lessons, is so good!

Season 13 was uneven but its final five minutes, where Mac comes out to his father and performs a stunning dance, is jaw-dropping. Arguably the best moment of the series.

The gang embark on a cross-country flight to beat Wade Boggs' record of downing 50-odd beers before landing in LA. Dee is a disgrace and Dennis is just pitch black.

Frank inexplicably buys a child beauty pageant. The boys throw themselves into it and Dee mentors a contestant. Repulsive from start to end.

Years of ill feeling with the McPoyles, Gail the Snail, Bill Ponderosa, Cricket and Hwang culminates with a disastrous Thanksgiving dinner. Hilarious!

Arguably the quintessential episode of It's Always Sunny, featuring a ludicrous hare-brained scheme to invest in oil. This is world-class TV.

Dee Reynolds has always been treated shabbily by her associates... but what if she utilised her self-loathing to become a successful comedian! Or is everything a ruse?

Mac and Dennis leave the city for the suburbs and slowly lose their minds. This is probably Glenn Howerton's finest performance - deranged!

Charlie Work is the cleverest, most audacious, most perfectly executed episode of the whole series. Charlie helps the bar pass a health inspection in long, unedited takes. A triumph!

Simply: this is one of the funniest episodes of television of all time.
