Thread: The Democracy Digital Coalition (DDC) has been tracking right-wing extremist activity ahead of the Inauguration of President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Harris on January 20th, 2021. 1/4
Following the attack on Capitol Hill on January 6th, DDC has detected an increase in traffic on Parler, Gab, Reddit, and other sites indicating plans for violence in the lead-up to and during the Inauguration in Washington, DC and state capitals. 2/4
DDC is advising those in the DC area, especially near government buildings, to shelter in alternate locations from January 16-20 if it is possible to do so safely during the current Covid-19 pandemic. 3/4
For those unable to do so, DDC recommends sheltering in place with caution through those dates. 4/4
