3 tools you NEED in your business!
1. A scheduler.
Seems basic, right?
But you would be SHOCKED at how many coaches I've worked with that do not have one. I'd have to go back and forth via DM so many times just to schedule a discovery call with them.
They called it cutting out the middle man

Save your customers the hassle and just get the scheduler with your restrictions on time.
They schedule, you get your time back and your client doesn't have to worry about all of the mess of DMing you all day.

Some people use Google Calendar and it does work well with the right Zap, but I think it's good to have a third party like Calendly (black-owned) or Acuity.
The reason this is better is because with a third party link you can set certain restrictions for scheduling.

2. A team management site
Whether you're a solopreneur or have a mega team, it's great to get this up and going.
It gives your team and yourself a place to refer to for everything that needs to get done and what's going on on a larger scale.

For solopreneurs who want to have a team or maybe even an assistant, please start tasking yourselves, setting up important projects/pages (yearly plans, resources, etc.)
Do not wait until you start onboarding.
Treat your business like the booming company it's bound to be.

Treat your business like the booming company it's bound to be.
Whether it's yearly goals, monthly meetings, weekly tasks, company wiki, and so much more.
Have that all in one hub for you and your team to review and see.
No need for the constant messaging about what's what, go check out xx and see what's up with the biz.

The earlier you start the easier it is for you to get into the habit.
Start tasking with due dates, tags, statuses, etc.
Make that wiki page and if not create, map out a potential team member onboarding system.
A few apps you can use: Asana (personal fav), ClickUp & Mondays

3. A team messaging site
If you have even 1 member of your team, do it NOW!
The reason why I stress this is because it helps your employee set boundaries with work and not feel the need to answer you all the time or immediately.

It is unfair to message your 1 or 20 employees personally on their personal phone numbers or social media apps where they come to get away from work and you.
This also benefits you, the CEO, because you might have an employee who will end up always blowing up your line.

Even if it's just 2 of you, message in all the channels, tag each other in the important info.
Get the ball rolling so it just becomes silly.
It might feel silly at the beginning but when you're managing 20 people, you'll be glad you got that app :)

Please don't think cause you only text once a day that you don't need it.
It benefits you and your employees.
You'll thank yourself later.

I have a COOL boss like the coolest so I don't get anxiety or anything when she texts me and tbh I never mind when she texts me, I lowkey prefer it but we still message on slack about work.
It's a good habit and helps set boundaries.
It's a good habit and helps set boundaries.
For example with Slack, it's only on my desktop so I'm not stressed at school or out and checking constantly.
I also have hours where it can't notify me unless I go there myself which helps with having personal time.

A few apps you can use:
Slack (using currently)
Google Chat
Microsoft Teams
Discord
Mastermost
*A little cheat code is to set up these sites with apps like Zapier for your team onboarding for welcoming people to the team and prompting them to introduce themselves*

P.S. I'm currently working on a team member onboarding process for my job, so once that's done I can share my process if you'd all like to see :)
