US Chip Roy lights into Trump on the House floor but says he disagrees with the language in the article of impeachment. He remains the Texan I am most reluctant to ever predict his/her future actions.
U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw writes a letter with fellow Texan US Rep. Chip Roy and Mace of SC and Curtis of Utah that condemns the president's "words and actions" but ultimately votes against impeachment.
Similarly, the other Texan I was closely watching, Michael McCaul, also votes against impeachment. He says impeachable offenses may have been committed, but he criticizes the rushed process without hearings and such.
In my rush, I missed this wow line from McCaul: "I will, with a heavy heart, oppose impeachment at this time. I did not come to this decision lightly. And I truly fear there may be more facts that come to light in the future that will put me on the wrong side of this debate."
