You develop history, community, 'culture' etc. through DOING things. Preserving 'historic' countryside and stating a city must 'look' a certain way is the opposite of conservation, its stagnation. Its killed the soul as well as the wealth of this country.
Americans don't need to remind themselves they're "great" because they see a fleet of aircraft carriers, and mould their history to fit that. Its only declinist states like Britain where discourse is dominated by post-liberal filler about 'what it means to be British'
There's a deeper meaning to this I can't convey rn. If you approach 'culture' as something external to yourself rather than something intrinsic to your activity as 'traditionalists' do, you are blinkered by modern alienation.
You will find Britain will 'be Britain' again when it builds a maglev network in a year, makes London the size of Tokyo and the Rotherham rapists are lynched.

Not when the Home Office brings out a new leaflet about "the centrality of community"
