My #TheDivision cosplay memories, a thread.
Apologies for the "me, myself and I" but these mean a lot to me, and it goes far beyond just me being on them.
(Blame @hamishbode, @NootRecruit and @melihcarter for giving me the push I needed.)

First up, my all time favorite photos.
I'm so happy I was able to go to NYC with Hubby and take these, and I'm so proud of my baby Photoshop skills. And I ain't proud of much in my life, lol.

This is where it began: unfinished costume, quickly put together for Halloween 2016, in Tokyo. I wasn't even in the community.
I met really cool people in Japan thanks to the game and posting screenshots on Twitter.
They invited me to my very first "sabage" (airsoft game). Despite my already failing health, it was one of the coolest experiences in my life. I lost most pictures, though (-_-').
In May of 2017 I made this tiny setup in my living room, with what was available. Recreated "missing" posters with Creative Commons photos of random people. Tried to tell a story. That (and screenshots) is how I got to know many people here.
There was one more airsoft game before that (March of 2017), indoors this time, where we created a bunch of really cool gifs and pics... This is my favorite. It was meant to be a "congrats" video for @TheDivisionGame's 1 year anniversary, but the sound failed to record... 😅
Those gifs though. Among my very best memories!!!
Precious, precious memories... 🧡 I tried to remember the moves of that dance as best as I could. 😂
Needless to say, I miss these shenanigans with my friends in Japan.
In August, we go to this gigantic studio JUST for cosplayers. A whole afternoon of taking Div pics. And one of my dreams comes true, as my friends allow me to recreate this iconic Survival photo.
By that time, I'm heavily medicated and can't reproduce the exact pose, but still.
Halloween 2017. My back is too painful to go to Kawasaki Halloween, and a typhoon ruins it all for everyone... I had a Survival outfit ready, so I make the best of it in the space of my home. Kinda works, right? But that suit is way too large.
Feb. 2018. I got back surgery. Lost so much weigh I look visibly sick. But we're working on Missing Agents, and I need pictures... So I cheat. A lot. Back angles, painkillers, no weapons because they're too heavy for me to even lift...
At that point (end of Feb. 2018) I can barely stand on my feet and walk, but there's this huge snowstorm outside and... Well, someone ought to look for those anti-rivals, right?
Hubby catches me running for the first time in months.
Also, Dark Zone vibes.
March 2018. My heart is broken. We're leaving Japan because of my health issues. Goodbye shots are in order. We go to Odaiba, Tokyo's "New York like" area. A week before leaving, we wait until 1 a.m. and roam around Akihabara, making sure to not disturb anyone. Pics happen.
I missed Ubiday 2017 (October)! Insane crowd, but so much awesomeness with my fellow agents...! My Striker vest barely survives its "christening".
I warned you there's 150GB of this.
2018: downsized hazmat suit year (told you the other was too big!). E3 year. In other words, meeting too many awesome people year. Every single one of them awesome people. And again, half-finished costume. Don't be mad, we only had 3 weeks.
2018, definitely a MASSIVE year. I'm not quite over that yet. Lucky doesn't even begin to cover it: I got to meet a lighting artist. In costume. Felt stupid, but ah well. #TheDivision is worth feeling stupid at times.
