Had some interesting feedback from early playtests of I Am Fish that felt the game was a step back from the prototype they played last year.

And yes on the surface the prototype (left) looks further along than the full game (right), but here's why it isn't:

The prototype is an unholy mess. Everything you see is from an asset store (except the fish, @Der_Kevin made that out of stretched spheres), the water in the bowl is crazy expensive water simulation and we pile on camera effects so it sort of resembles a finished game.

The full game has nothing from the prototype except what we learned. It'll also be all our own art, so no level assets yet.

But we have our main character and all our gameplay and physics are far more systemic and robust. So it's ready for a game to be built on it :)
