Friends, I'm writing a story about health care workers, unions, and the COVID-19 vaccine. I’m looking for examples of workplace-based vaccination campaigns that have worked well, particularly in nursing homes. Feel free to RT & pass along; my DMs are open.
Very interesting: the top 2 states for vaccines administered as a % of vaccines distributed -- North Dakota (74%) & West Virginia (64%) -- rely on the CDC's contracted program w/ CVS/Walgreens to deliver the vaccines in long-term care facilities the LEAST. https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/pharmacy/most-successful-vaccine-rollouts-in-us-4-state-strategies.html
The third-ranked state, Connecticut, is participating in the program...and I think may have the highest (or among the highest) statewide union density in nursing homes in the country @SEIU1199_NE
