Christian twitter, Would you please pray w/ me for Members of Congress struggling w/ how to vote b/c they fear for their family’s safety? Pray for courage to vote their conscience, despite attempted intimidation by violent extremists. Pray for safety for them and their family.
Pray for the veil of deception lifted from those considering violence. Pray for all law enforcement and national guard to be protected and for perseverance for the long week ahead. And pray those with violent intent are thwarted.
I'm a big fan of praying scripture, so I'll be using this thread to post verses reminding us that God is bigger than human enemies. He is where we find refuge and strength. Feel free to add your own verses.
Though they walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve life; You stretch out Your hand against the anger of foes, with Your right hand You save.(Ps 138:7) Remind Members of Congress of Your faithfulness God; enable them to trust You even if they fear retribution from man.
