A thread of different theories and interpretations for the “chemtrails over the country club” lyrics and music video

First interpretation:
Lana said before that this album is inspired by her family and friends. Lana also talked in her book, violets, about her past and her childhood in Lake Placid and her troubled upper-class family, especially her mother. And in this song we see both modern-

-Lana and young lizzy escaping out of the country club, lizzy out of Lake Placid and Lana out of LA. So the car scene could represent her escaping from the “country club”.

“Wearing out jewels in the swimming pool / Me and my sister just playing it cool / Under the chemtrails over the country club”, this is a memory of her being close -only to her sister Chuck. “Im not unhinged or unhappy, im just wild” - As an introvert that she is, we could-

-imagine Lana in a family event pokerfaced and her parents being mad at her. “It’s beautiful, i’ll escape / Normality settles down over me / im not bored or unhappy / im still so strange and wild”, same situation but this time maybe its more about her escaping LA cult-like elite.

Regarding the love-related lyrics, we can connect them to let me love you like a woman, which is about revisiting a lover from the past. Young lizzy has met a guy she likes and she’ll escape the club with him. “Well i dont care what they think / drag racing my little red sports-

-car” maybe they did not like this guy or he wasn’t part of their group. Adult Lana meets a new lover who reminds her of her past love (all this could be metaphorical), but also maybe she meets the same guy and they want to try it again now that they are free: “late night tv, i-

-want you on me like when we were kids / under chemtrails and country clubs”, and then “its never too late, baby so don’t give up”.
The little girl in the music video can represent young lana. The scene where they are together is Lizzy alone in the mansion and there is she as-

-an adult taking care of herself when nobody did. First we see Lana in the mirror dolling up herself and then the girl doing the same thing. We see very fast-paced images of Lana with a sad face, like she doesn’t wanna be there.

Also we see her escaping out of the country club in her red car and then she has an accident, that being a metaphor to life hitting her hard once she forced herself to become independent. She had to learn tough way and became wild yet strong. She found her own group of family-

-and friends, hence the wolf symbolism, we know wolves are independent and solitary animals but also have an incredible skill to create and protect inseparable herds.

Second interpretation:
Lana wrote in chemtrails “My moon's in Leo, my Cancer is sun” Her Sun in Cancer (conscious self) is feminine, traditional, nurturing and emotional while her Leo Moon (unconscious/instinctual self) is wild, bold and fierce. So shes basically describing two-

-sides of her personality therefore the music video might be portraying those two sides.

Third interpretation:
The video shows that on the surface, the country club is full of rich people that put on a facade during the day, but the chemtrails (presumably an euphemism for something much more dark in real life) made them do unspeakable things at night shown by the-

-wolves and car burning scene. Then they wash the regret and bad decisions away and continue life as normal the next day. The video may be relating to Hollywood’s elite and all the messed up things many of them are probably involved in.

End of thread. I just wanna say that these aren’t my interpretations i just found them on the internet, and they may not be totally true but these are the ones that made much sense for me.
