One of the things I have to do when I end up mentally overextended is essentially a reboot. I forget to take basic care and then everything else falls apart. So: hydrate, sleep, eat well, take care of basic tasks, and spend a few days prioritizing those things.
With the priority in order of which is most necessary to my functioning.
One of the things that age has brought me is not better mental health, but better methods of knowing how to work with the brain I have, instead of wishing futilely that I had a different one.
So my tip to myself is this: when I start experiencing the first signs of needing a reboot, it’s always best to pull back and reboot instead of trying to push harder.

A controlled reboot always is preferable to a hard crash.
My other reminder to myself: My personal level of dehydration has no impact on whether the Republic stands or falls.
Take care, all. We need you here. You make this world a better place, and we really need this world to be a better place.
