These are supposed to be our representatives. They're supposed to be our bulwark, and they are rushing all over themselves to condemn violence that while completely abhorrent was also COMPLETELY predictable after the normalization of political violence from the other side.

Full disclosure, I hate Trump. I think he should have conceded weeks ago. I didn't vote for him in 2016, and TBH my state was going red anyway, so I didn't care enough to mail in my vote from Saudi, but what most don't understand is this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Trump.

For years, the left has used political violence as a tool with a wink and a nod, and in the last year full throated cheers. Did you think the other side wouldn't learn from black bloc tactics?

For years, the left has droned on about conspiracies of Russian agents, 9/11 inside jobs, the JEWWWWS, and now suddenly conspiracy theories incite? How about calling 75+ million people Nazis? Do you think that fucking incites people?

And when the hell did our capitol become "sacred" but our neighbors property become disposable? Our neighbors have been under siege for months. Where the fuck was Congress?

The capitol riots wasn't the right's Kristallnacht. It was left's Reichstag fire, and the capitulation that we're seeing from the @GOP is going to guarantee that every "safety measure" that DNC wants to pass will have spineless Repubs voting for it, so they don't look complicit.

The fact that our betters in Congress still don't get this is staggering and dangerous. You can't say that Trump incited violence on Wednesday without acknowledging that the conspiratorial rhetoric has been used against the right for YEARS.. Not just politicians, but normies.

You think your safe if you say you don't want violence? You aren't. Try to disagree with the left. Look at the hate that @ggreenwald gets for being consistent on civil liberties. He is called a Nazi sympathizer, a Trump apologists.

You all better wake up. The next 4 years are going to be painful. They haven't even gotten in power and they are spewing what they are going to do. Take away freedom of expression-check. Take away guns- check. Freedom of travel- that's gone too. Business- been gone.

Our bulwark is gone. The mob is in charge, and the violence at the capitol gave them a ticket to tar you with every bad actor out there. The party you gave votes to isn't protecting you either. Did any of them ever really speak up when you were called a Nazi?

As for inciting violence, little funny coming from the daughter of Dick Cheney. How many Muslims were killed in his wars? I guess bombing the shit out of people doesn't incite violence like saying an election was stolen.

And the fact that even saying an election is stolen is now considered "incitement" should scare the shit out of all of you. Questioning our elections and our electoral processes are the basis for the first amendment. It doesn't matter if it's conspiratorial shit or not.

Label questioning an election as incitement, and now no elections can be questioned. See how fricking easy that is? Trump is gone in 8 days. Contrary to popular opinion, I think he's done. His voters aren't.

And the @GOP still does not get why he was elected, but sure piss all over his voters @senatemajldr @Liz_Cheney. You'll get your wish to stay in the permanent minority and fundraise. Oh I forgot, you can't, because the Democrats are taking that away too. Good luck getting my $$
