People have always had diversity of thought. That's not a bad thing.
What becomes detrimental to a free society are when INTOLERANCE grows & a segment of our nation's population becomes demonized.

Gov't CAUSES this for a reason. Intolerance causes DIVISION & FEAR.
When Americans are UNITED, they can control their gov't.

We witness political elite using more than simple political ideology (liberal vs. conservative) to divide us.

then inflame those feelings further to extreme levels of intolerance that cause many to seek "retribution" against their hated counterparts.

Our gov't will only strive to further pit us against one another - all to surreptitiously remove more freedoms & gain more control of the electorate.
This is being done on a GLOBAL scale.

It will take open minded people on all sides to fix this problem.
First, we must AGREE that gov't is causing this, not the American people.
Next, we must learn to be willing to hear opposing views, RESPECT others & work to compromise as well as agree to disagree at times.

Lastly we must recognize America was built on assimilation of diverse people into our nation, supported by the principles of individual freedom & equality outlined in our Constitution & Declaration.
We must never waiver from those principles.
