8 Simple Reasons Why Giving a 2nd Pfizer Dose After 12 Weeks Will Be a Public Health Disaster:

1. An assumption has been made that the 90% efficacy reported in the Pfizer Phase 3 trials between Day 21 (when the 2nd dose is given) and Day 28, is entirely due to the 1st dose.
2. In the Phase 1/2 trials, that is shown to be entirely untrue. They tested three doses:

10 μg (2 doses, given 3 weeks apart)
30 μg (2 doses, given 3 weeks apart)
100 μg (1 dose only)
3. Both the 10 μg and 30 μg doses exhibit a massive spike (10 μg goes up by a factor of 9, 30 μg goes up by a factor of 18) in the binding antibody thingys they were measuring, starting from Day 21.
4. The 100 μg shows a 30% decrease, beginning at Day 21. They never measured it beyond that, because it was clear that 2 doses was the way to go.
5. Two 10 μg doses given 3 weeks apart, exhibit VASTLY higher numbers than one 100 μg dose.

6. The single dose at its PEAK (Day 21), is LESS effective than human convalescent plasma from recovering Covid patients.
7. They are creating a perfect storm. Telling people they are 90% protected, when the reality will be much less and could easily decline to 0% before the 2nd dose is given.
8. The MOST critical factor, is the interaction between the two doses AT Day 21. Essentially, the 1st dose is primer, most of the “good stuff” (including longevity of protection) comes from the 2nd dose.
