I had a surprising conversation with my husband the other night – surprising because I thought he knew about my thinking but apparently not – that were it not for the pandemic and travel restrictions, @kateatherley and I wouldn’t have launched @DigitsThreadsCA so quickly. 1/n
We decided to start this business in May, and we launched in October. In the Before Times, we would have believed it necessary to hop on a plane to be in the same place for a while, to plan things out. Without having a mentality of making do with what we had, we would have assumed we needed more – more ways of planning together, more systems for getting work done, more time. We have a PO box as our business address and it’s possible we will never have a corporate office, or indeed any offices outside of our respective homes. If we’d approached this new business with assumptions we’d held before the Old Normal disappeared, I’m certain we’d still be planning instead of doing.
