Then late with the speech. I have no doubt in the Taoiseach’s sincerity but the instinct of every institution is to protect itself. To limit the damage. Why did he omit the adoptions & reparation from this speech. Promise to deliver legislation by years end is an insult.
It’s not good enough. Imagine torturing women & children for 80 years & as a sorry you give them an enhanced medical card ( for ppl outside Ireland we do not have universal healthcare. He is promising those survivors........eh, healthcare), patient liaisons & counselling.

They ignore the plight of the women in Limerick prison. This state, our “modern” our “progressive” State locks up TEN times the amount of women in jail than it did 20 years ago. 80% are Mothers of 3-4 children. A number are travellers and all are poor. Any of this sound familiar?
