Cole R-OK he seeks Go’s blessing to protect everyone and hopes the proceedings will go forward safely.

Message to Rep Cole, it’s your side that made it not safe to begin with.

Cole says it started as peaceful protest but turned into a riot. He has to say this because that is the company line from the George Floyd protests of the summer. It is a means to set up the both sides argument in the future.

He says the Democrats are again further dividing the nation by impeaching the president. It saddens him. He calls them erratic, says there is no time to contemplate the serious action.

Oklahoma vote Cole out. If he cant see what is necessary today, he doesn’t belong there.

I feel this is the way this going to go today. As soon as I hear someone who is not protecting our democracy, furthering lies, continuing to gaslight, I will point them out.

Cole has gone from R to F. Republican to Fascist.

Cole wants to have hearings ask the experts. He was not for any of this during the first impeachment. He said then they were rushing then and rushing now. He lies about the time the impeachment trial can begin, not realizing Mitch can call it anytime.

I think Cole might be tipping the fact that Jonathan Turley and Alan Dershowitz will be representing trump [spits on floor] in the Senate trial. You remember him as an expert witness on Impeachment prior to the first one we had. Cole would like to hear from him again.

Cole goes on about how this is a flawed process. This is a key indicator that there is no defense to the behavior in this indictment. They have no way of defending it, so they attack the process. If this is how it is starting, it is a retread from the first impeachment.

Again, one in which there was no defense other than the Mitch McConnell’s desire to appoint judges.. he ends with platitudes of bring those who stormed the Capitol to justice.

Says Unity can be achieved by bipartisan vote.

Hoyer quotes Kinzinger ‘if these actions aren’t worthy of impeachment, what is?’

Hoyer is good at this. Calling out the republicans from different areas of the country who agree to impeach. He says he sees the gentlemen from Ohio is on the floor.

Hoyer brings up the whistleblower from the impeachment. Talks of intimidation from Jordan. Says they tried to out the whisteblower.

They did. Jordan tried to out them along with Doug Collins and Matt Gaetz et al. Again, apt hat was attacking witnesses not defending behavior.

Hoyer reads Al Greene resolution including “MAGA civil war”
Greene focused on the racism, the gallows, the noose.

If we do not confront our history, we cannot move forward.

Hoyer references Cabinet members who saw the insurrection and quit.

Smith R-MO wants a bipartisan commission to review this.

Ok, so the republicans play seems to be to introduce a bill that will establish a commission. Remember these are the folks who are anti-establishment, that government is too big.

A commission is coming no matter what.

This is a cover for them to say they called for a commission to investigate, but the blanket they chose is a clear shower curtain. Transparent.

He says just 50 feet away ‘a young lady’ lost her life through those doors [points at doors].

He does not mention she was a member of a deadly insurrectionist mob attempting to gain access to the chamber for the purpose of potentially kidnapping or murdering a member of Congress. This is a key point when you realize he is practicing systemic White privilege.

Calling a white insurrectionist ‘a young lady’ conjures images in the minds of the constituency. ‘How could they let that happen to such ‘a young lady’ as they clutch their pearls with a case of the vapors.

They also clutch their purses at the sight of a Black person. FOH.

Smith calls upon the democrats and the speaker of the House to ‘for once put the people before politics.’
