The Internet is losing its shit over issues related to this again today so I'll just break my relative Twitter silence to say... in fandom, we have an expression called KINKTOMATO which is a fun re-spelling of "Your Kink is Not My Kink, and That's OK"
It's a concept that acknowledges that everyone has their line they don't cross. Everyone has their NOTPs (Opposite of an One True Pairing, or favourite pair) & everyone has their squicks, & that's fine. It's about leaving people alone to enjoy what they want, or NOT.
The one & only thing I can fault Today's Pariah for is not tagging her content intuitively with things that people avoiding that subject matter might've thought to block or filter out. Being confronted with that stuff when you've taken measures to avoid it SUCKS, BIG TIME.
But, as usual, the outcry is more focussed on the content of her material than the fact she didn't tag it properly. The focus is on throwing the people who enjoy seeing that stuff under the bus; as if the genres in question aren't

I feel like the majority of people who feel this stuff is beyond the pale are pretty young, like early 20s. Maybe this is the first exposure they're having to these ideas being as common & as fetishised as they are, I don't know.
Maybe it's because a lot of people lost their jobs & went to OnlyFans & are only now discovering that the adult industry is composed of a great deal of things that aren't just feet pics and missionary. I dunno, that's just conjecture on my part but it'd seem to track.
Either way, Today's Pariah has never produced content that appeals to me. I don't have a horse in the race. But, I think it's bullshit the amount of flak she's getting over what she does as a consenting adult with another consenting adult for an audience of consenting adults.

I haven't gone to bat for this issue in a while & I'm very sure a few people will write me off as something I'm not, or otherwise be surprised with my extremely old-style & permissive views on everything but, hey man. Live by the tomato, die by the tomato.
