Growing up, I didn't hear hyperbolic stories about walking uphill both ways in the snow for school.
My mother is an immigrant. She was born in Germany, in 1936. Her father served in the Wehrmacht and was sent to Stalingrad.

From my family history, I know the cost of lies, and the price of appeasing fascists.
My father didn't raise me to be a progressive-minded individual. He thought Nixon's only real misstep was getting caught and he LOVED Reagan.

Far too many Representatives and Senators supported and repeated Trump’s lies and his rhetoric. Some recanted at the last minute, play-acting at magnanimity by not objecting to Electoral College certification.

It was a nakedly political ploy that proves they knew Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud were just lies, but went along with them because they saw him as a kingmaker.

Many in the Senate have lost sight of the fact that they are servants of the people and view themselves as our rulers, and we cannot let them forget their seditious speech and acts.
Actions must have consequences. Laws must apply to all, or they are worthless.
