Its not as simple as “if you think the church is bad just dont participate”. I was a grown adult when my dad last attacked and confined me to my room for saying I didnt want to go to mass. People are forced to participate. This is the Catholic Church not the redbull challenge

Families disown, ostracise, harm you. I no longer have physical contact with him but it took 28yrs and isnt possible for many. Get the church out of state, schools and hospitals but if a “nonbeliever” has a church wedding you dont know what the motivations were. Nor the threats

Saying “your da will still love you if you have a beach wedding” is a nice sentiment but how do you know that. How do you know? Peoples das sent them to the laundries. Maybe your da will blacken your eye if you tell him your child won’t be baptised. Maybe your mum will disown you

I’m exhausted I hate sharing my thoughts on this stupid app but I’m so so tired of the church and their supporters destroying and taking countless lives then being told “if I was victimised by the church I simply wouldn’t be” ok? Very good

The church has as much of a grip on individuals as it does on the state, we don’t have the same school systems up north yet we still see how effectively it forces its followers to police their families actions behaviours and decisions. Many people do not truly have a choice
