Yet another proof of how vital immigration has become:

A man we are supporting lost his visa in 2008 due to poor immigration advice. Since 2014 he could have applied for leave on long residence grounds, but again, due to lack of immigration advice he hasn't done it till now.
Since 2008, he has spent much of his time on the streets - with no papers proving his rights, he had no options for getting a job, a house, or the support he needed to get his life back on track.

His health has now severely deteriorated, and he is battling with cancer.
At Praxis we support around 2k people with immigration advice every year, but we are a drop in the ocean against a tsunami of need - especially as most immigration advice is not covered by #LegalAid.

We need to do better.
