Neither http://Squeaks.in  nor http://Tooter.in  are swadeshi!!

Friends, not everyone is technical and we Indians are very fragile to fall into the trap when people whom we trust mislead you.

I'll be proving this in the thread and will guide you to check it yourself.
Open http://squeaks.in  in any browser and hit F12 on your keyboard, it will open DevTools (you can adjust it in right half or below half or the screen). Go to Network tab in the DevTool and click any of the column header and enable Domain and Remote Address if they are not.
Now you can scroll up and down and check what connections are made, and they are basically 2 except some libraries and fonts.

1. http://squeaks.in  (109.73.160.221)
2. http://squeakscloud.s3.amazonaws.com  (52.219.133.12)

Let's now find out with these IPs where they're hosted...
Any whois service can give us details about their owners. Open http://who.is  (or any you like) and search these IPs.

1. https://who.is/whois-ip/ip-address/109.73.160.221
2. https://who.is/whois-ip/ip-address/52.219.133.12

First one is a RIPE IP and second one is ARIN, European and American IP network respectively.
Now, let's find on RIPE and ARIN who really owns them.

1. https://apps.db.ripe.net/db-web-ui/query?bflag=false&dflag=false&rflag=true&searchtext=109.73.160.221&source=RIPE

2. https://whois.arin.net/rest/net/NET-52-192-0-0-1/pft?s=52.219.133.12

They are owned by HostDime UK and Amazon Technologies USA.

Note that the Asian(Handling IP for India) counterpart of these are APNIC.
This basically proves that other than the ".in" domain, there is nothing Indian about this. Now, let's check who owns this domain.

Open http://whois.registry.in  in a new tab and search http://squeaks.in  after completing captcha there.

Results is kind of shocking to me...
Not only that there are many Swadeshi domain registrars still GoDaddy US is the registrar, but owner information is hidden for privacy.

Last when I read .in domains don't allow private/hidden whois, which I need to reconfirm as I am not up-to-date on policies since a few years.
1. You must not trust any domain which has hidden owner records with your personal data.

2. Is it bad to operate like this? NO. But claiming Swadeshi is almost a crime unless they change this and they don't keep the data within Indian borders.

3. Owners of all the data are ...
... HostDime UK/US or Amazon AWS US and they are hosted in Europe and USA respectively.

These orgs are known to share data with govt when asked to and can shut down when they don't like it (remember Parler on AWS)?
Now let's come to http://tooter.in , open it in a tab and open DevTools with F12 as you did before and note the domain and IP. It is basically accessing only one domain on one server.

1. http://tooter.in  (64.225.84.69)

Let's find out where this IP is hosted...
1. https://who.is/whois-ip/ip-address/64.225.84.69

This is an ARIN IP and owned by DigitalOcean US. Let's confirm this with ARIN for clarity

1. https://whois.arin.net/rest/net/NET-64-225-0-0-1/pft?s=64.225.84.69

Yes, DigitalOcean US, 100% confirmed with address/email and phone. Remember Indian IP would be under APNIC.
Again, this proves non of the data belongs to Indian servers, they are all hosted in USA and there is nothing except the ".in" is Indian here too. Let's check the domain owner.

Open http://whois.registry.in  and query http://tooter.in .

Shocking indeed...
Again, Hidden/Private WHOIS record and the domain is registered with Key-Systems GmbH, Germany for a change.

Wow for people like @nanda8tooter who claim SWADESHI with all this - https://tooter.in/nanda/posts/105535844540078864

Also, https://tooter.in/about#opensource it's clear this is just a clone of gab-social
Finally, please enlighten me what is "SWADESHI" about these fraudulent people making mockery of India and fooling people here in the name of Making in India.

If anyone has anything to add or prove me wrong, this is open for discussion. Thanks
