It is not just cars.
The family has interests in many businesses incl healthcare, pharma, a republic of chicken shops, townships, infrastructure, tea estates.
But no biz got it as much money (and infamy) as Chit Funds.
The flagship is publicly listed but the share has languished.
But let's dwell a bit on the family hotel business.

It owns 10 different ultra-chic hotel properties in the http://76-sq.km  island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea, Greece.

(Don't ask me where that is! Contact some politicians, who have lived it up there in the past.)
There is another family hotel, one that hosted a lavish wedding of a son. It is somewhere in Atlanta, USA.
Guests who were flown from all over India marveled at its grandeur!
