3. This is where I stop and ask myself, what would I do if I were McConnell's puppeteer Charles Koch? And then I remembered that Koch is likely culpable starting in the armed astroturfing that also involved violation of the same crimes committed on 1/6.
4. That could mean that Koch has criminal liability going back to May. If Koch were my client, I'd want to cut off his liability for what is coming. If he joined the astroturfing conspiracy that then advanced to become the overthrow conspiracy, a conspiracy that
5. now threatens open warfare, the only way out is a noisy withdrawal. Is forcing his bought-and-paid-for @SenateGOP to convict Trump and remove him Koch's way of withdrawing from the conspiracy? Maybe.

8. Mitch may not be willing to take out that many of his caucus, but if he was briefed today on the intercepts linking Cruz and Hawley to the active conspiracy and perhaps even the GRU, he needs them gone immediately and he'd want to be the one to do it.
