Think some people have trouble reading. RE: my reporting on Reagor-Jefferson. Howie Roseman has final say, so EVERY pick the #Eagles make is, ultimately, on him. His job is to gather all info, but ultimately go with his evaluation.
With the Reagor pick he was likely wrong. 1/

The dynamic in the first round was Andy Weidl and the scouts preferred Jefferson. Didn’t care as much about scheme. Thought this kid should be good in any system.
Roseman liked him a lot, too. But he also liked Reagor. And the #Eagles desperately wanted outside speed. 2/

Some coaches (doesn’t necessarily mean Doug Pederson), and even a few scouts saw Jefferson as mostly a slot. A slot in the Eagles system isn’t a volume guy. Some were worried he wouldn’t justify the pick. Reagor, some scouts liked, too. 3/
But Jefferson was the guy Weidl, Anthony Patch, etc. liked. Reagor, some thought would be there a little later. Trade back if you want him. Roseman believed the Vikings would take Reagor. He was likely wrong if you’ve seen the video of Vikings staff making the Jefferson pick. 4/
They seemed shocked he was there and jubilant. Whether Roseman was right about the Vikings or not, we’ll likely never know. But he may have gotten the evaluation wrong on Reagor. It’s too soon to say. He has some talent, but was inconsistent as a rookie. 5/
But he doesn’t look as good as Jefferson. So that was a mistake, and the greater one was projecting Jefferson as a slot, when it appears he can line up anywhere in any system.
So my reporting wasn’t pointing blame. It was providing the details on what went into the pick. 6/6
