Dear @ianfury, after that speech you helped @govkristinoem deliver today...I feel like you owe me an honest answer to these things I’m about to ask you. You don’t actually owe me a damn thing, but I do think it is important to the unity you seek...even if only after the fact..
I happen to side with Bernie on about 85-90% of his agenda. You can call me a socialist. I don’t even care anymore. Compare me to whomever you’d like. Whatever floats your boat. Castro? Go for it! But answer this...do you really believes that means I don’t love America? Honestly?
I believe this
is near its final days. Much closer than most people in my own party. I believe that only bold legislation and American vigor can solve this problem. The world will follow if we lead. But does that make me an alarmist? Does saving American mean I hate America?

It is upsetting that police departments have not worked for every community in America. That’s not Christian. Though I don’t consider myself a Christian, I was raised in a predominately Christian environment. Does freedom of religion not apply to atheists?
I’m Pro-Choice. Personally? I’d consider myself Pro-Life. Me. Not you. Or my wife. Just me. That’s my belief. Does it bother you that I would rather just sit this out and let women choose what they think is best for them. How could I ever make that choice for them? Not my place.
I believe in accountability. Police departments are no exception. The press has a right to information. They report to the people. The people have the right to information. Why does transparency seem so difficult for you. If not, why am I wrong?
That speech did little but tell me my wife and I are bad parents. Our teachers and our children’s teachers are propagandists and I am not a real American. I mean we disagree
but come on, man! Am I really the enemy? The problem?
